Detailed Restoration of 1930's Pond Boat
2012-10b.jpg
26" Classic Jacrim sloop Item # 2012-10

Many toy sailboats for sale on this site were made by Seaworthy Jacrim Company and the Keystone Toy Company of Boston.  We search for the old hulls and restore the spars and sails to as near original as we can.

Many of the boats in the current collection are toy pond boats from the early 1930's through 1950's. The Seaworthy Boats were made by Chester Rimmer, A Naval Architect graduate of MIT in 1921. He formed the Jacrim Hollow Boat Company in the 1930s with the partnership of Arthur Jackson. They distributed their boats through the Keystone Toy company of Boston, MA. In the 1940s Jacrim merged with Keystone begain making boats under the Keystone name. Recreating the classic lines of full scale yachts designed by Nathanial Herreschoff and others, these small toy pond yachts were manufactured for a limited time.
