Fiona, is a model of a classic 1930s yawl. This is hull is carved solid wood and realistic details on the deck include deck houses, lights, wheel, compass and winches. There is no identification of the maker but the details are identical to a Jacrim/Keystone boats made in the early 1930s. Fiona was found completely weathered, without sails, but with original spars and deck details. Most likely she was a display model for advertising.
The hull has been completely restored to natural wood, varnished and painted waterline-to-keel. The deck has been cleaned, preserving all the details and varnished. The new sails are made of natural cotton and rigged similar to a period pond boat. The base has new paint.
This is very exciting model to have on display!
