VINTAGE POND YACHTS

I am sorry! I have only one boat for sale. But more are coming soon.  🛟

The boats that I select to restore must meet my criteria of beauty, uniqueness and craftmanship. Many boats were handmade in the 1930s and 1940s, sailed and enjoyed and then left in the barn or attic.
Some of these boats were put aside when it became popular to use remote controls for racing boats.

My objective is to present smaller, affordable boats that have the spirit of boat design of the early 20th century.

The restoration of the hulls may take as long as six months. In most cases I try to keep the look as near the original as possible. If the boat as to stripped and repainted, the process can be extended. Rushing the process does not meet my standards.

Rigging decisions are made with the reference of many photographs and research materials. Proportions are important and if the boat doesn't look right I redo it.

about me

I have been restoring small wooden pond boats since 2009. I strive to maintain the vintage elements of the boat that were created by the original maker. I am a one person shop, but I have found ways to reproduce antique fittings and I take pride in the sails that I make by hand. I work slowly and carefully.

Sincerely.
