FIRE BOAT

This is solid wood floor toy made by the Jacrim Company of Boston in the 1930s under a division name of TOM THUMB TOYS. The "Fire Boat" has 2 sets of water guns and deck and looks very similar to Naval boat toys made at the same time with cannon and missiles on deck. The hull paint is original and the brass side rails are the same as used on the Seaworthy "Flying Yankee" spring powered speedboats. The twin smoke stacks are replacements, as is the short mast and spreader.  At 16" long, this is a nice small boat to add to a collection of Jacrim boats. The maker's decal on the stern is in perfect condition. This is solid wood floor toy made by the Jacrim Company of Boston in the 1930s under a division name of TOM THUMB TOYS. about
me

I have been restoring small wooden pond boats since 2009. I strive to maintain the vintage elements of the boat that were created by the original maker. I am a one person shop, but I have found ways to reproduce antique fitting and I take pride in the sails that I make by hand. I work slowly and carefully.

Sincerely.
